Success Story: Catherine Britton
Siena Prints by Catherine was born after I completed a long and highly successful career as a high school principal. What I perceived as an ending in 1996 was really the beginning of a wonderful new ministry. Retiring served as a springboard to a new direction that led me to dig deep within myself to find the talents I needed to find another way to define my life and to make myself productive once again.
Creative writing, graphic design, photography, and a strong sense for business led me to create an original line of greeting cards and to write, mat, and frame inspirational verses which I sell at Arts and Crafts shows. Instead of waiting for the people to come to us, we went out to the people. All proceeds support our retired sisters and the ministry of Trinity High School.
“Peace is a journey of a thousand miles and it must be taken one step at a time.” These words by Lyndon B. Johnson describe the underlying philosophy of Siena Prints. If our words can help to soothe an aching heart, mend a broken friendship, give some hope where there is despair, or bring some happiness to someone, then we journey well with those who find solace and peace in our words.
